Yoga really is the best therapy

Life can often be hectic and stressful, juggling family and work doesn’t usually leave much time for us.
With most of us always craving that bit of ‘me time’. There will then come times when life really challenges us. This may be as a result of a bereavement or a big change in circumstances. It can be hard to deal with the many emotions which we are faced with and things can quite quickly pile on top of us.
Yoga is an incredible therapy which can support us through the toughest times. Incorporating a regular practice in to our lives can make us strong both in mind and body.
So how and why does yoga help lift our mood?
Yoga gives us an active role to play in the healing process, by slowing down our mental chatter through breath work; it helps facilitate self-acceptance; and we become quieter and more grounded. Yoga can help perfectionists as well as those who tend to be self-critical or lack self-confidence. In yoga we always
work within our own limits, we challenge ourselves but we don't compete with ourselves or others.
Give a class a try and you will be pleasantly surprised by the many benefits Yoga can offer you physically, mentally and emotionally.
