Description / Notes: Time and day: 9.30am Monday Maximum class size: 6 Classes suitable for beginner, intermediate and advanced yogis! At Sanctum, bonding with your little one is not a solitary affair. Our yoga classes are a great way to get back into shape without needing a babysitter. Bring your little one along for some parent-baby bonding and be part of a yoga community of parents. When to practice It is important to rest initially. The first 6 weeks after birth are a time for bonding with the baby and for the mother to recover. By the end of the first eight weeks of the postnatal period, women should be ready to return to their regular practice, but it is important to listen to what the body is ready to do. Women with a yoga practice prior to pregnancy should be careful and not rush back into their usual yoga practice. Consult your GP for advice on when to resume practising.Teacher Info Map

Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire
HP9 2SBMap
Description / Notes: No membership fee. £12.50 per class Time and day: 7pm on Tuesdays Maximum class size: 6 Classes suitable from 14 weeks until birth. Prenatal yoga classes can be an ideal way to stay in shape during your pregnancy. This age-old practice keeps you limber, tones your muscles, and improves your balance and circulation, with little, if any, impact on your joints. Stretching exercises promote circulation of blood and oxygen throughout the body, relaxing both body and mind and promoting a sense of general well-being. Pregnant women typically shift their pelvis forward in response to the increased weight, which places significant strain on the lower back. Yoga strengthens the core muscles, resulting in better posture and alleviated back pain. Yoga strengthens the muscles used in delivery, which will make the entire process easier. Pregnancy can shift the position of the digestive organs, impeding digestion and causing unwanted side effects. Yoga can help reverse this process and restore healthy digestion. Practising yoga will build muscle mass, which will give you more energy and make your pregnancy easier. It will also make it easier to lose the weight you put on while you’re pregnant. One of the most important benefits of yoga for a pregnant woman is the practice’s focus on breathing. Concentrating on breathing properly will teach you to relax your mind and your body, even in frightening or high-stress situations, helping your pregnancy to develop healthily. If you have any pre-existing medical conditions or have had any serious problems during pregnancy, please run this past your GP before starting the class and discuss with your Yoga teacher. Please don’t worry if you have never done yoga before, a lot of the mums will be trying it for the first time and our classes are suitable for all levels.Teacher Info Map
