Profile

Sarah began her yoga journey in 1997, whilst studying for her degree in English. She found that a daily practise of yoga combats all stress, clears the mind and tones and strengthens the body. After eleven years of practise, Sarah realised that she could put together her love of yoga and her teaching experience together to help bring others to this incredible journey. In 2008, Sarah began her teacher training with the British School of Yoga, gaining qualified teacher status in 2012. Sarah has taught hatha yoga classes to small groups at the Butterfly Lounge since 2011. Is this Class Suitable for me? Sarah’s classes bring hatha yoga to all. We pride ourselves on inclusivity. We welcome all from the beginner to the seasoned yogi and aim to foster a sense of trust, respect and positivity in our classes. Sarah will adapt the asanas for all abilities. If you find a posture isn’t for you, you can sit, breathe and relax. Sarah can also demonstrate extended versions of the postures. What can Yoga do for Me? Practising yoga has numerous benefits, both mental and physical. In this class you will learn techniques that you can enjoy in your own practise time, in as little as ten minutes a day or as long as you like! You will learn techniques to relax your mind and soothe your soul. Asanas (movements or postures) will strengthen and tone your body, enhance flexibility and help to prevent aches and pains. Pranayama (control of the breath) will help you to relax and take control of stressful situations. Relaxation time at the end of the class will also support a deep sense of calm and well being Sarah is also fully qualified to offer Swedish Massage and other beauty therapies.
