Ashtanga Yoga Paris RYT 200 Hr

Profile

My journey into Ashtanga Yoga began in Paris in 2008. Before moving to Paris I was training and working as a classical saxophonist in London for several years and while searching for a ‘discipline’ to balance the busy lifestyle of a musician I practiced many different styles of yoga. When I came across Ashtanga at Ashtanga Yoga Paris, for the first time I felt at home in Paris and I immediately realised that this was what I had been looking for – a practice that would offer great physical challenges, yet also help me to ground myself, looking inwards to find inner peace and stillness. The yoga practice has filtered into the rest of my life and my music. I enjoy how it helps to work on being mindful and present in everything that we do, not just during those two hours on the mat. I lived in Paris for four years, practicing regularly at AYP with my teachers Linda Munro and Gérald Disse. I completed their 200 hour teacher training 2011 and they invited me to join the team of teachers at their studio for the following year. I have been fortunate enough to have the opportunity to learn from other inspirational teachers including Ron Reid and Marla Meenakshi Joy, Kino MacGregor and Chuck Miller. Having moved back to the UK in 2012 I am currently teaching privately in south London.
