All classes are suitable for beginners and are one hour long. Friday mornings Gentle Yoga class offers a particularly relaxed pace with a focus on relaxation and working kindly with the body, easing our way through posture practice. More experienced practitioners will find plenty in the classes to draw on. Once you are familiar with the postures, then you have the chance to build on self awareness, noticing how your body feels as you move and working more deeply with the breath, seeking a place of stillness. The classes start with a warming up phase giving you time to settle into the session and warm up your joints and muscles, we then work through our postures, offering you a range of movements; twisting, forward, back and side bending, standing postures, and balances.
