Comprehensive Yoga Teaching - The Yoga Institute, Mumabi, India

Profile

I was introduced to Yoga as a 7 year old, by my dad, a Judo instructor, who used some basic asana in his Judo lessons. I started attending classes in London in 1990, then during 2004 I was given the opportunity to teach yoga in Mexico, through my practice I already had a great love and respect for yoga, and while teaching it I had found what I was searching for, a way of earning my living, helping real people and satisfying my soul. In 2006 I went to India for the first time and spent almost 2 years in Mumbai studying Classical Raja Yoga at The Yoga Institute, also during this time I studied in Chennai at the KYM with Desikachar, son of T.Krishnamacharya. The Yoga Institute supports its local community and works on the principle that yoga is a way of life. Offering classes for personalised practise, self-development, personal growth and they hold regular workshops aimed at specific health conditions like diabetes, problems with: the heart, respiratory system, orthopaedic, weight control as well as general women’s health including pregnancy, anti natal and menopause. KYM (home of viniyoga) has a very similar therapeutic approach; the main difference is they only teach one-to-one clients/patients, the exception is children for whom they run regular group classes. Yoga Training completed: The British Wheel of Yoga in 2006 The Yoga Institute, Santacruz, Mumbai, India, in 2007 Krishnamacharya Yoga Mandiram, Chennai, India. 2007
