Profile

I practise gentle and therapeutic yoga incorporating breathing and relaxation techniques with the gentle movement of yoga postures. My classes are designed for relaxation, de–stressing and gentle stretching. This is not a strong physical workout and is suitable for beginners and those who do not want a strenuous class. Improves your flexibility, and restores your sense of calm and energy levels. Additionally I teach for Age Concern, and in conjunction with the British Lung Foundation. I am a qualified teacher with the Yoga for Health Foundation. I am a qualified yoga therapist with the Yoga Biomedical Trust and Yogacampus. Yoga Therapy may be effective for individuals experiencing health conditions such as lower back pain, high blood pressure, chronic fatigue, stress, anxiety, breathing problems (including asthma, COPD and panic attacks) and migraines. Yoga Therapy is personalised to the individual, and performed one-to-one over 3 - 5 sessions following an initial assessment and provides the individual with a programme to practise regularly at home. No previous experience of yoga is necessary.
